Individual Therapy

01

Individual therapy, or counseling, is a one-on-one process between a client and a trained mental health professional. It helps explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to tackle personal issues and enhance well-being. In sessions, clients talk about their experiences in a safe, private space, gaining insights into their emotions and patterns. This therapy can help with various problems, like anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The aim is to encourage personal growth and resilience through customized support and strategies.

Child Therapy (8 - 12 years old)

02

Our therapy with children is designed to help them manage and overcome emotional, behavioral, social or mental health challenges. It provides a safe and supportive environment for children to express their feelings, develop coping strategies, and improve their emotional well-being. We work with both the child and their family to address issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, social difficulties, or behavioral problems. The goal is to support the child in understanding their emotions and behaviors, and to foster healthier ways of thinking and coping, facilitating better adjustment at home and in school.

Teen Therapy (13 - 17 years old)

03

At Lighthouse Therapy Inc. we understand that working with teens is all about helping them navigate the emotional, social, and psychological challenges they face during their teenage years. We focus on issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, relationships, and identity development. Our therapy provides teens with a safe space to express their feelings, develop coping skills, and address any mental health concerns. Techniques used may include talk therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness. Teen therapy often involves working with both the teenager and their family to improve communication and support the teen's emotional growth and well-being.

Family Therapy

04

We take a family systems approach that focuses on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening relationships within a family unit. It helps family members address issues such as parenting challenges, sibling rivalry, grief, or mental health concerns affecting the family as a whole. The goal is to foster healthier interactions, improve understanding, and promote positive changes within the family dynamic. We work with all or some members of the family to identify patterns of behavior, improve problem-solving skills, and build stronger, more supportive connections.

Transitional Age Youth (16-25 years old)

05

Our therapy with Transitional Age Youth (TAY) focuses on supporting young people between the ages of 16 and 25 as they navigate the challenges of transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. This period often involves changes in education, work, relationships, and independence, which can be stressful and overwhelming. Therapy for TAY addresses issues such as identity development, mental health concerns (like anxiety or depression), coping with life changes, and building life skills. The goal is to help these young individuals develop resilience, self-confidence, and the tools they need to successfully manage this critical stage of their lives.
