We offer tailored support that empowers you to take control of your mental health journey. Additionally, we provide assistance with obtaining Emotional Support Animal Letters (ESA). Whether you're seeking therapeutic resources, guidance, or simply a supportive environment, we are here to help you every step of the way. Your mental health matters, and together, we can work towards a healthier, happier you.
Depression
There are many life circumstances that can lead to depression, no matter the reason Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can help you build the coping skills needed to manage your depressive symptoms as well as help you understand the link between the root causes of depression and how they impact your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. You and your therapist will work to create goals specific to you, while identifying practical coping skills that fit your life and you can use immediately. Our hope is that by the end of the first session you will feel like you have someone on your mental health journey with you.
Anxiety
Many people experience anxiety in different ways; some people experience anxiety because they think too much about the past or because they think too much about the future. Here at Lighthouse Therapy, we understand that overthinking can feel like extra weight on your shoulders and this can have a negative impact on different areas of your life. We use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist you in developing anxiety management techniques that will teach you how to identify the way anxiety operates in your life and how to create a plan to manage it. Anxiety is something that many people deal with and you are not alone, it would be our pleasure to join you in overcoming it.
Trauma/PTSD
Experiencing trauma can have a devastating impact on a person's life, and can result in several different kinds of functional impairments (inability to go to work, lack of concentration, deterioration of important relationships, flashbacks etc.). Here at Lighthouse Therapy, we used Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) techniques to help you identify triggers, develop effective coping skills, and regain the focus and composure you may have lost due to the trauma. We will work with you to address the intense feelings that come along with the trauma, with the goal of having them not interfere with your life anymore. Whether your trauma comes from a single event or a lifetime of different traumatic experiences, it is our goal to be a guiding light on your journey towards wellness and peace.
Anger
Many people struggle with managing anger, which can have an adverse effect on their family relationships, job, and personal well-being. At Lighthouse Therapy we can assist you in developing the ability to understand where your anger is coming from and how to use anger management techniques to discover how your perceptions about an event can impact your behavior. We teach anger management models that address the root cause of your anger and give you practical skills that can help you change your behaviors so you can go about your day with confidence and a sense of equanimity.
Parent-Child Relational Issues
A 2015 pew research pole reported that raising children was tiring all or most of the time, while almost all participants in the study report it was overwhelming at least some of the time. At Lighthouse Therapy Inc., we are passionate about helping parents establish strong parent-child bonds. We work from a Family Systems perspective to help children and parents develop healthy communication, positive interactions, and understand the need for strong family bonds. We work with parents to help them correctly identify the emotional needs of their children and develop a healthy parental structure so that children truly come to an understanding about how rules and boundaries benefit them.
Emotional Support Animal Letter
Emotional Support Animals (ESA’s) can provide therapeutic benefits to people with mental health or psychiatric disabilities. They can help with emotional support, comfort, and companionship. Our existing clients can request an ESA letter upon completion of an ESA assessment for no additional charge.
